Trainings for SWaCH Leaders

For one year, 150 SWaCH leaders were given monthly trainings on a range of topics, including leadership, sanitation, economics, solid waste management, public speaking, health and nutrition.  For summaries of these trainings, click here.

SWaCH leaders train their peers

Trained SWaCH leaders then went out into their communities and trained thousands of other waste pickers and SWaCH members. Trainings contained simplified elements of what leaders learned during their monthly trainings.  

SWaCH leaders train the public

SWaCH leaders trained the public on waste segregation and the Red Dot Campaign via face-to-face interactions, street theater, public rallies, press conferences, media interviews and presentations.
